Mission
Community Entrepreneurship Institute, Inc.,
a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, was
developed with the philosophy that
sustainable urban districts can best be
created when entrepreneurs have a strong
commitment to the customers and communities
where they operate businesses.
This commitment is contained in the CEI core
values of competence, integrity, self-help,
social responsibility and beneficence. These
core values are critical to the formation of
trust between the entrepreneur and the
patrons.
Programs
CEI is comprised of three distinct programs:
- Teen Entrepreneurs An after school program where teens learn to operate ‘Tweenz and Teens Entertainment, a company that offers special events and educational activities for youth up to age 18.
- Urban Business Incubator provides micro, emerging and existing business owners with affordable office space, training and support.
- Community Research Institute is a policy think tank that provides critical analysis of state and federal laws that impact urban business development.
UBI Companies
|
We seek competent entrepreneurs that operate their business with integrity while providing services and products needed in urban communities. These companies demonstrate social responsibility towards the urban community and beneficence to their patrons. Once accepted into UBI, entrepreneurs become part of a self-help network where they can barter with and purchase from other UBI companies. |
